News from 2002:
2002 was a year with many exciting shows,
a long holiday in Wales, a trip to the Cob sales in Builth in October – and last
but absolutely not least: The purchase of a new foundation mare from the Trevallion
stud!!
The name of the new mare is TREVALLION
LADY LILLIAN and she is DUN!
She has been purchased for 2 reasons: To
replace Trevallion Chloe that we in the autumn of 2002 sold on to Klaus
Lindberg of the Lindberg Stud, and also because I (Carl) always have dreamt of
finding a really top class dun mare. But my demands have been very high: Her
pedigree, conformation and movement should all be excellent, and on top of that
the dun colour should be of a certain shade and preferably combined with certain
markings.
When I saw Lady in Nelson’s fields in the
summer of 2002 I had found the one I had been looking for: She is this lovely
golden dun with really black points and hair and with excellent markings: A
blaze and 4 white feet!
She has never been shown or even been out
of the field, but being from such a winning family I have no doubts that she
herself will end up as a major success in the showring. She will be shown for the first time in her
life in 2003.
Lady is a half sister to the reputed Danaway Flash Jack -
the Royal Welsh Supreme Champion:
Lady’s sire: Trevallion Flash Jack
2002 was also a very busy year with a number of
shows. Below you can read more about:
I. The Danish National show 17. & 18.
August, when Hillary won the Overall Supreme championship for us!
II. Emma's & Amanda's showseason in Wales !!
III. The Spring youngstock shows, when
Julie's Hazel had more succes!!
I. The Danish National Show 2002 was in
the weekend of 17th & 18th August and we had the most fantastic weekend:
Hillary won the Supreme Cob championship for the
3rd consecutive year and for the second time in 3 years she was even Overall
Supreme of the whole show!!
3 daughters out of our foundation mare Rotherdale Heiress won
the Danish National Stud championship for us; also our second victory in 3
years.
Heiress' filly foal Valhalla's Hot
Chocolate won the foal class in front of her sister
Lindbergs Dawns Impression; both foals are by Menai Sparkling Imperial, who
already in his first season proves his great value.
II. Emma & her filly foal Amanda had a super show season in Wales !!

Valhalla's Emma has been at the
Rotherdale stud in Wales all summer. Laura Ferris has prepared her for the
Centenary Show (1st and 2nd August) and for the Royal Welsh Show. Emma has also
foaled in Wales and has had a lovely filly by Menai Sparkling Imperial, that we
have named Valhalla's Amanda.

Emma started her showseason in Wales at the local show in Cwmdu to
"test" her showing performance before the Royal Welsh. The number of
entries in sec. C & D were very limited, but the quality was high. Emma was
Welsh Cob champion and her 4 week old foal Amanda was reserve champion!!
At the end of the day Emma was Overall Supreme Champion of the show!
At the Royal Welsh we had less succes. But Amanda had a "highly
commended" rosette!

At the Centenary show one week later we had more success. Emma was 8th
in a strong class, and Amanda did even better and was 2nd among the filly
foals.
